Biography

Oluwafemi Babatunde DAODU is a Lecturer in the Department of Veterinary Microbiology Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, and a Clinician at the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, University of Ilorin with over a decade of university teaching, research, and administrative experience.

He currently serves as the head of the Virology Unit of the Department and previously as Head of the Molecular Biology Laboratory and Virology/Immunology laboratory of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, University of Ilorin.

He has expertise in viral transmission at Human and Animal Interphase. He has won several grants (CHIR, IDRC, NIMR, PAR foundation) spanning across zoonotic viruses and antimicrobial resistance. He has to his credit over forty publications (as of 2022) in reputable journal outlets covering journals, edited conference proceedings, and chapters in books. He has successfully supervised two (2) undergraduate projects and co-supervised (benchwork) three (3) master dissertations. He is a member of many professional bodies within and outside Nigeria.
