Veterinary Microbiology
Dr. Lawal Adedeji Nurudeen is a dedicated Veterinary Microbiology Lecturer specializing in Bacteriology. He is actively involved in undergraduate teaching, research, and community development services. His research interests span zoonotic diseases, infectious diseases, antimicrobial resistance, and bioinformatics, with a focus on unraveling complex microbial interactions and promoting evidence-based interventions in resource-constrained settings.
Currently, in the final stages of his Ph.D. program in Veterinary Microbiology at the University of Ilorin, Dr. Lawal’s research focuses on the molecular characterization of Salmonella serovars from food animals and humans attending selected hospitals in Kwara State, Nigeria.
Dr. Lawal earned his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (D.V.M) degree from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, and a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Medical Microbiology and Parasitology from the University of Ilorin, Kwara State.
Beyond academics, Dr. Lawal enjoys driving, traveling, and networking, which reflect his passion for exploration, connection, and continuous learning. His work is driven by a commitment to improving animal and public health through impactful research and teaching.
