Julius Olaniyi AIYEDUN is a Reader in the Department of Veterinary Public Health and Preventive Medicine, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ilorin, with 33 years of experience in Veterinary Practice 11 of which are in teaching, research and University administration.  He is a Fellow of the College of Veterinary Surgeons of Nigeria (FCVSN). He was the foundation Head, of the Department of Veterinary Public Health and Preventive Medicine, a former Sub-Dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ilorin and a former Ag Director of the Veterinary Teaching Hospital, University of Ilorin.

He has attended and delivered papers at several local and international conferences and has over 75 publications in peer-reviewed journals to his credit. He is a member of several professional bodies within and outside the country and is currently the Chairman of the Society for Rabies in West Africa (Nigeria Chapter). Married and blessed with children.
