Biography

Isaac Dayo OLORUNSHOLA is a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Veterinary Microbiology, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Ilorin with almost a decade of university teaching, research, and administrative experience.

He has served as Head of Department, Sub-Dean, Postgraduate coordinator, AMR laboratory manager, and Faculty Webring manager. 

His research is focused on developing diagnostic biomarkers and vaccines against human and animal mollicutes using Mycoplasma bovis as a prototype for proteomic and genomic assays.  He has over forty publications in reputable journals, edited conference proceedings, and chapters in laboratory manuals. He has successfully supervised four (4) undergraduate projects, co-supervised one master’s dissertation, and co-supervised 3-Ph.D. projects. He has equally won several research grants, including, the Gates Foundation for Mycoplasma Diagnostic and Research Laboratory, Professional Development Support Grant, and International Veterinary Vaccine Networks (IVVN) grant.  Dr. Olorunshola is a member of many professional bodies within and outside Nigeria.
